What does eye primer do?
Eye primer is the “foundation” for your eye makeup. So, your eye color will glide on very smoothly, and stay perfectly in place longer. Eye primer can help extend and enhance the brightness and color of your eye shadow.
How Do You Use Eye Primer?
Simply apply eye primer prior to eye shadow.
Use a flat tip concealer brush, and apply small amount of eye primer (about the size of a grain of rice) to your eye lid.
Next, use a brush or your finger tip to tap the primer into your eye lid until the white formula disappears.
It will look like this when it’s ready for eye shadow to be applied.
You also want to choose a waterproof formula eye primer so your eye color won’t crease or smudge.
Take a look at the difference with and without eye primer below. This is the same eye shadow color applied in both places on the back of my hand, but look at the difference in the bottom one where primer was applied!
Here’s a real model (below), I applied the same eye shadow on her both eyes, but her left eye does not have primer, and right eye does. As you can see: what a difference it makes!
Eye primer is usually in-expensive and will last for a very long time. Here’s one I recommend: Eye Primer
